Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
(FSEOG), North Carolina Community College Grant (NCCCG),
North Carolina State Incentive Grant (NCSIG), North Carolina
Academic Competitiveness Grant (ACG), North Carolina Education
Lottery Scholarship (NCELS), North Carolina Education Access
Rewards Scholarship (EARN), Work Study, scholarships, and
other institutional aid.
What is considered full-time enrollment for Financial Aid?
Twelve (12) or more credit hours.
What is Federal Work Study?
The Federal Work Study program provides part-time employment
for enrolled students with financial need, allowing students
to earn money to help pay education expenses. This is an
excellent opportunity to gain work experience.
How does a MCC student apply for an institutional scholarship?
Complete the MCC
Scholarship Application Form along with
the FAFSA. MCC minimum qualifications to be considered for
a scholarship are a GPA of 2.0 or higher and enrolled in
9 credits. Some scholarship criteria have higher GPA standards
and require a student to be enrolled full-time.
How does a MCC student apply for other types of scholarships?
When the Financial Aid Office receives scholarship information
or applications from outside sources, the information is
posted on MCC
