Mitchell’s nursing program #5 in state

Mitchell Community College’s Associate Degree Nursing program was recently ranked as number five in North Carolina by Registered Nursing.org. The organization ranked the top 30 nursing schools in North Carolina by analyzing current and past National Council Licensure Examination–Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN) pass rates–the percentage of graduates who pass the exam. The study analyzed 76 Registered Nurse (RN) programs in North Carolina and included schools offering an Associate in Nursing (ADN/ASN), BSN or Direct-Entry MSN Degree. Mitchell was one of three community colleges to make the top five.

“I believe this designation is a direct reflection of the quality of education and experiences provided to the students by the nursing faculty and our clinical sites,” said Dr. Camille Reese, Vice President for Instruction. “The nursing faculty at Mitchell are committed to academic integrity and excellence which is evident in the classroom and also through the achievement of national program accreditation by (ACEN) Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing.”
