Mitchell and Iredell-Statesville Schools apply for third early college

Continuing collaboration between Mitchell Community College and Iredell-Statesville Schools is evidenced by yesterday’s formal signing of the application for an early college on campus at North Iredell High School.

With a focus on agribusiness—a thriving Associate degree program at Mitchell—the potential to serve students with higher educational aspirations in this field makes the North Iredell campus a perfect choice. If the application is approved, this will be the third early college collaboration between Mitchell and Iredell-Statesville Schools.  Collaborative College of Technology and Leadership (on Mitchell’s Statesville Campus) and Crossroads Arts and Science Early College (on campus of Statesville High School) are the two current early colleges which are very popular options for Iredell students.

Pictured above are at the signing (seated) is Dr. Tim Brewer, President of Mitchell Community College, Dr. Ralph Bentley, Chairman of the Mitchell Community College Board of Trustees, Mr. Marvin Norman, Iredell County Commissioner, Mr.Charles Kelly, Iredell-Statesville Schools Board of Education and Mr. Brady Johnson, Superintendent, Iredell-Statesville Schools. Also attending the signing were staff from Mitchell, Iredell-Statesville Schools and other Board of Education members.
