*This course introduces the foundations of culturally responsive, equitable and inclusive early childhood education, planning intentional developmentally appropriate experiences, learning activities, and teaching strategies for indoor and outdoor environments for all young children, guidance techniques, and professionalism. Upon successful completion of this course, the student earns the North Carolina Early Childhood Credential and qualifies to be the lead teacher in a childcare center.
This course is delivered 100% online. All instruction is delivered through Mitchell’s Learning Management System (LMS) asynchronously (accessible at different times than instructor). Students must have computer and internet access. Students must log-in to the course on the first day of class and complete the Mandatory Course Enrollment Activity (MCEA) by the census date of the class.
