Clubs and Organizations

Major Clubs

Art Club – emphasizes an awareness of the importance of fine arts to the students and community. (Advisor: Mark Flake)

Cosmetic Arts Society – Serves to unite in a common bond the students enrolled in cosmetology classes and provide a channel of information, activities and to promote development of leadership abilities through participation in educational, vocational, civic, recreational, and social activities. (Advisor: Dale Bare)

Criminal Justice Association – is an organization for students interested in the field of criminal justice. (Advisor: Lisa Cooper)

Early Childhood Association – serves as a forum for student opinion dedicated to resolving and discussing early childhood issues. The club conducts service projects for the college and community in the field of early childhood. (Advisor: Jamie Brown)

Human Services Club – is an organization that promotes and encourages advancement in the human services field addressing mental health issues and community service issues. (Advisors: Sally Dellinger and Nanci Burt )

Phi Beta Lambda – is an award winning national organization for business students. They actively participate in state, regional and national competitions. (Advisor: Susan Stinson)

Phi Theta Kappa – is a National scholastic honors fraternity for community college students. Membership is based on excellent grades. (Advisors: Annette Moore and Gloria Rembert)

Projectile Society – (Advisor: Doug Knight)

Student Nurses Association – is an organization for currently enrolled nursing students. The association promotes the professional standards of nursing and emphasizes the importance of involvement in professional organizations past graduation. (Advisors: Linda Wiersch & Anna Gordon)

Interest Clubs

Diverse Expressions – is an organization designed to enhance and encourage written and spoken artistic expressions. It is dedicated to reaching the community though spoken words, lyrics, short stories, poetry, etc in order to facilitate mental and spiritual growth as a means to help people make their dreams a reality. (Advisor: Mike Cox)

Fellowship of Brotherhood – promotes the positive qualities of life for males. (Advisor: Randall Willie)

Learning Transitions Club – an organization based on the needs of adult students who are confronting the challenges of change in their lives. (Advisor: Libby Richardson)

Photography Club - (Advisor: Ingrid Gaither)

Underground Fellowship - Designed to help develop God's purpose in you. (Advisor: Joshua Young)
