10 a.m. - Welcome and Registration
Start your day with coffee and snacks on the Circle. Pick up your nametag and visit with fellow alumni. Share your Mitchell memories on film. Enjoy live music from The Catalinas. The Catalinas will be with us from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
10:30 a.m.–noon - Featured Activities
Join a tour of campus led by our Student Ambassadors
See a presentation of Mitchell History items and memorabilia by the Huskins Library Staff
Meet members of the Alumni Business Network and the Alumni Artist and Writers Network
Browse the Mitchell Bookstore and enjoy 10% off

Noon–1:30 p.m. Main Event
This event is the highlight of the day! Mitchell’s own Culinary Arts students will be catering a barbecue on the lawn. We will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the classes of 1970, 1971, and 1972, hear from Mitchell’s president Dr. Brewer, and present the Distinguished Alumni Award.
1:30–2:30 p.m. - Ending Activities
As the day winds down, take advantage of the last tour of campus led by Student Ambassadors, enjoy games on the Circle, pick up your Alumni gift, and share your Mitchell memories on film.
Featured Evening Events
2-9 p.m.- Mitchell Alumni Shop and Stroll
Visit beautiful downtown Statesville and enjoy a 10% discount at many of our one of a kind shops and boutiques. Stop for coffee, pastries, or ice cream while you stroll. Conclude the day with a delicious meal from one of our many downtown restaurants. A list of participating shops and restaurants will be provided at registration.
2-4 p.m. - Statesville Historical Collection
Visit the Statesville Historical Collection to view unique items from the history of Mitchell, Statesville, and Iredell County. The collection consists of thousands of items and photos from the 1870s to the 1970s documenting the area's business, social, military, educational and religious sectors. The Statesville Historical Collection is located in the former Gordon Furniture Building in downtown Statesville at 212 N Center St, Statesville, NC 28677.
6:30-8:00 p.m. - Spring Concert
Join us outside on the Circle for our Spring Concert featuring the Mitchell Community Band and the Mitchell Community Chorus. Come hear the band play a fun variety of pieces and listen to the chorus sing several memorable selections.
Tours and outside activities may be cancelled in the event of inclement weather. Registration is required for those attending lunch.

Parking |

Alumni may park in any student parking area on campus. Refer to the Campus Map to find parking lots and other approved parking areas. Use of a handicapped space requires the display of a handicapped placard or tag. Parking is not permitted in a fire lane, loading zone, reserved space or grassy area. Improperly parked cars are subject to tow-away at full expense to the owner.
