Mitchell Community College
Attn: Career & College Promise
500 West Broad Street
Statesville, NC 28677-5264
Note: Application packets typically take three weeks to be processed. Students cannot register until the completed packet (application, transcript, qualifying test scores, home school verification record [if applicable]) has been received and processed.
If your unweighted high school GPA is below 2.8 and you have not met any other testing score requirements, you may be permitted to take the college placement test.
Public and charter school students, you must meet with your Career and College Promise contact to get permission to test. All others should meet with a CCP contact (below) at Mitchell to obtain a test admission slip.
Plan to test early. Testing appointments fill quickly, especially near registration times.
High school students will not be permitted to take the placement test without a signed permission slip.
