Student ID/Library Cards: A MCC student ID is required to check out library materials. Students can obtain an ID card at the Campus Security Center using a printed copy of their current class schedule and a photo ID. A community member can obtain a library card using their drivers license or some other form of identification.
Books/materials: You may renew books and materials in person or by telephone for the designated period unless there is a "request for hold" for another student.
Maximum items allowed to be checked out: 5
Books: check out for 2 weeks, overdue fine is .05 a day
DVD's: check out for 1 week, overdue fine is .50 per day
CD's: check out for 1 week, overdue fine is .50 per day
If a book/materials are lost or damaged, you will be charged the current replacement cost for that item.
All outstanding fines must be taken care of in order to register for classes, graduate or send an official transcript to another institution.
Computer Use: The cost for printing is 10 cents per side for both black and white and color copies.
Place to Study: On the main (second) floor is an open study area with tables and chairs. On the third floor there are study carrels and a study room that seats up to 10. The study room, (Room 308 behind the MIND Center), has a white board with markers and a computer available. Reserve the room on an hourly basis by coming by or calling the Circulation Desk at (704) 878-3271.
Computer Lab: On the main floor, the Computer Lab (Room 201) has 24 computers for student use. An assistant is available to help during lab hours. The cost for printing is 10 cents per side. Questions? Call the lab at (704) 978-5422.
