A Sample of Graphic and Web Design     Starts: June 13, 2022     Ends: June 29, 2022
This short course will teach the fundamentals of graphic and web design in our new Mac Lab. Students will learn about fonts and typography, along with the other components of a good graphic design concept. They will get an introduction to current industry software and will be shown how to edit pictures. They will see the process of building web sites and will get an understanding of why graphic design is essential for creating a professional looking web site.

A Sample of Computer Programming       Starts: June 13, 2022        Ends: June 29, 2022
This short course will teach programming in the emerging business programming language called Python. Students will learn to code simple programs with input from a keyboard and output on a computer screen, as well as how to code decisions and loops to control the output. Some graphical programming will be taught as well in python. Other programming languages may be introduced as interest topics so students can see what coding is about.

 A Sample of Solidworks        Starts: June 13, 2022        Ends: June 29, 2022
Solidworks is a computer-aided design software that is primarily used in the field of engineering and manufacturing. It is used to design parts or create assembly documentation. This short course will go over the software features and give hands-on practice using the 2-Deminsional and 3-Deminsonal tools. Students will also be shown how a Solidworks model can be exported to and then created in a 3-D printer.

 A Sample of Welding            Starts: June 14, 2022         Ends: June 30, 2022
This short course will teach students the difference between the 3 most common types of welding, which are MIG, TIG and Stick. A large emphasis will be placed on safety procedures and the proper use of equipment. Students for this class will be required to purchase a welding kit that includes welding gloves, jacket and helmet.

A Sample of Engineering Automation     Starts: June 14, 2022     Ends: June 30, 2022
This course will expose students to entry level engineering and automation principles. Topics covered include basic mechanical, electrical, electronic, fluid power and PLC programming and how they integrate into a system.  Problem solving and teambuilding skills will be emphasized. A capstone project will have the student explain the basics of an automated sorting system.

 A Sample of Culinary Main Course Foods            Starts: June 14, 2022        Ends: June 30, 2022
This course is an introduction to culinary arts, which will include basic knife skills and cuts. Students will learn basic cooking techniques and how to follow a recipe. Pizza dough will be made along with different types of pizzas.  Kitchen safety procedures will also be emphasized.

A Sample of Culinary Pastries and Baked Goods    Starts: June 13, 2022      Ends: June 29, 2022
Learn the essentials of a sweet career in baking and pastry, from techniques for creating amazing breads and cakes to decorating them as well. Students will be taught how to follow a recipe, use kitchen tools and kitchen safety procedures.
